4th of July - History - An American Tradition
Here are a few factoids about the 4th of July that not everyone knows. For example, independence from the colonial rule of Great Britain was actually declared on the 2nd of July, 1776, that was when, in a closed session of the Second Continental Congress, the vote was taken.
Also, the signing of the Declaration of Independence was not completed by all signatories until August 2nd, 1776. I don't know about you, but Happy 2nd of July sounds as weird as does Happy 2nd August!
John Adams thought July 2 would be marked as a national holiday for generations to come:
“[Independence Day] will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival… It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this continent to the other from this Time forward forever more,”
John Adams, 2nd President of the United States

President Adams certainly had a thing for the number 2. Also, it just goes to show you that politicians then were as now; they were wrong as often as they were right.

Samsung vs LG - Which is Better?
You've heard of each brand, Samsung and LG. Both hail from South Korea. Both are giant companies that were barely known a couple decades ago. And in much of the market place, when buying anything electronic, it's a question of Samsung vs LG as often than not. Tell us what you think! Join Friendslr.com at https://friendslr.com/registration/
My LG tablet taking a pic of my Samsung phone shooting 3 failed LG phones
Back in the day, if you were considering a television, it was, say, RCA versus Sony. A fridge? Maybe you'd compare Kenmore vs Frigidaire. And shoot, cellphones didn't exist yet. However, today, with multinational products, shared manufacturing, and re-badging, you're not really sure who makes what you're buying. Finding any of the above products "Made in the USA" is, well, futile. Televisions made in the US, aaaaand go! Goose egg, right?
The Companies
Any Samsung vs LG article must list a little background of each company. It's my article, so I make the rules, k?

George Floyd Protest Riots
All over the news lately has been the George Floyd protest riots. You can't escape it. Turn on the radio, there's some update. Radio foodie show, changed in format to cover it with the "reporter in the streets" segments and interviews.
Now, I don't get much into some topics. Race, no, politics, nuh-uh. Do I want to jamb by religious beliefs down your throat? No. I'd rather that you believe as I do, but God calls you to that, I am only support staff, if you will. Ha, and I'm not very good at that, either.
On the other hand, I am a living, breathing person who happens to know a lot of people of every persuasion, color, ethnicity, religious belief. What I can say is, you be you, and I'll be me. Yet, on this topic, with the protest riots in motion, I must stop and think about what it all means, Maybe you can too?
